The Perfect Moment is a moment when time stands still. It is a time full of the present, when the past is left behind and the future is set aside. It is a special time of focused attention and heightened awareness. Interruptions and distractions are consciously excluded. All that matters is this moment—the painting I am with and the 'conversation' we are having now.
Each work is about the dramatic sense of 'now' which each moment, both real and surreal possesses. As John Cage quoted, "Art for now- moment rather than for posterity's museum civilization." The development and execution of this series is gesturally instinctive and the resulting forms and images are never premeditated. Where and how an impulsive mark is made is always final per se, never questionable nor doubted.
